How Liverpool could line up vs Brighton with three Jürgen Klopp changes after injury boosts
Liverpool is back in action against Brighton on Sunday. With Manchester City facing Arsenal later in the day, Jürgen Klopp side cannot afford a slip-up.
Liverpool is back in action on Sunday after the international break as Brighton visits Anfield. With just 10 Premier League games left, it could be a pivotal weekend in the title race.
The Reds will of course be aiming to get the business end of the season off to the best possible start, with the chance of returning to the top of the table. If things go their way elsewhere, they could even remain there on Sunday night.
Straight after Liverpool hosts Brighton, Manchester City will face Arsenal in a huge encounter at the Etihad Stadium. Just one point separates the league’s top three sides heading into what could be a decisive weekend.
Liverpool will need to make sure it doesn’t slip up against Roberto De Zerbi’s side. Jürgen Klopp will have a few decisions to make ahead of the Seagulls’ visit.
Andy Robertson looks likely to miss out after picking up an ankle injury while on duty with Scotland. The left-back has undergone a scan back at the AXA Training Centre, but it would be a surprise at this stage to see him lining up on Sunday.
Kostas Tsimikas could therefore return in his place, but that won’t be the only decision to make in defense. Ibrahima Konaté will be available to make his return after playing 90 minutes for France against Chile on Tuesday, and may replace Jarell Quansah from the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
Conor Bradley, meanwhile, will be vying for a place back in the starting XI after impressing with Northern Ireland. The 20-year-old may return at right-back as Joe Gomez is given a well-deserved rest.
Curtis Jones is expected to be back available, but it will likely be too soon for him to return to the starting line-up. Harvey Elliott will be in the mix after an impressive international break, but Wataru Endō, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are perhaps favorites to retain their places in midfield.

Mohamed Salah and Darwin Núñez were both given the international break off in order to recover from their recent injuries. Hopefully that will hold them in good stead, and they can start once again alongside Luis Díaz in the front three.
Possible Liverpool line-up: Kelleher; Bradley, Konaté, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Endō, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Núñez, Díaz.
