FT: Arsenal get the job done - but they make hard work of beating a promoted side for the second week in a row, to get a 400th home Premier League win in the bag.

The Gunners took 68 minutes to lead against a Southampton side who came here more in hope than expectation given their start to the season.

It wasn't until Saka's 88th-minute third they really felt safe, because Southampton looked dangerous for much of the second half.

Two goals and an assist from the main man will rightly take the headlines though. He stepped up when Arsenal needed him, with Kai Havertz again another to really shine. One goal closer to that 20...

Trossard brings the ball forward to the edge of the box before he's tackled, but a heavy first touch from the Japan international is straight into Saka's path, and basically begging for him to slot it inside Ramsdale's near post.

He's not one to turn down an invitation like that. Game over.
