Liverpool transfer news LIVE: Morgan Rogers interest, Rodrygo exit, Jeremie Frimpong latest

Liverpool transfer news live as Rodrygo could be eyeing up an exit from Real Madrid. Morgan Rogers is reportedly of interest, while there's news on Jeremie Frimpong.

The Liverpool title party will be running for the next few weeks as the Premier League season draws to a close, and attentions will soon be turning to the summer transfer window.

Arne Slot and the Reds can enjoy their last four games safe in the knowledge that no one can catch them now, and that Virgil van Dijk will be getting his hands on that trophy towards the end of the month.

Then, the hard work begins for Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes. Even with the title in the bag, it's clear there are some areas for Liverpool that need some work.

Supporters will no doubt be looking at some of the latest reports with interest. Over in Spain, it's suggested that Rodrygo is eyeing up an exit from Real Madrid, while Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen are the latest names being linked with a move to Anfield.

And of course, speculation continues over Trent Alexander-Arnold's future. The Reds vice-captain is yet to confirm a decision over his future, although a move to Real Madrid still looks to be the most likely outcome.

Jeremie Frimpong latest

Liverpool is not in "active discussions" for Jeremie Frimpong. That's per Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail.

Frimpong is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen, where he has been a key player under Xabi Alonso. But though he has been touted as a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool is currently viewing the left-back position as a greater priority.

Whether that means Conor Bradley goes into the new campaign as the undisputed first-choice remains to be seen. But whatever Arne Slot has in mind, a direct marquee replacement for Alexander-Arnold currently looks unlikely.

Frimpong, for his part, has spent more time recently as a right midfielder than a right-back. If interest from Anfield did crystallize, it would represent a very attack-minded move.

Harvey Elliott move planned

Newcastle is planning to make a move for Harvey Elliott this summer, according to TeamTalk.

It's claimed that the Magpies want to add a creative midfielder to their squad, and with Elliott having struggles for game time this season, he is seen as a potential option.

Elliott himself has admitted there is a chance he may not be at Liverpool next season, although he still wants to stay at Anfield.

Jarrod Bowen offer

Liverpool could make a $69 million offer for Jarrod Bowen this summer, according to Caught Offside. It's claimed that both the Reds and Tottenham are keen on the West Ham star, with bids from both a possibility.

Bowen has been the subject of plenty of admiration from Liverpool over the years, with Jurgen Klopp even describing him as his favorite player outside of his own squad during his spell in charge at Anfield. West Ham though is said to not be considering selling the 28-year-old.

Christopher Nkunku contact

Liverpool is among a host of clubs to have been contacted by the agents of Christopher Nkunku, according to TBR Football.

The Chelsea forward's representatives are said to be looking around as a departure from Stamford Bridge looks to be on the cards this summer.

As well as the Reds, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Tottenham are all claimed to have been spoken to in the past few months, while there is also said to be interest in Germany from Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and former club RB Leipzig

Dean Huijsen concern

Real Madrid is concerned by Chelsea's growing interest in Dean Huijsen, according to Spanish outlet AS.

The Bournemouth defender is attracting plenty of interest ahead of the summer transfer window, with Liverpool among those said to be keen.

Chelsea though might be leading the race for his signature, with Real worried about the Blues' pursuit. Huijsen is said to have a $68 million release clause in his contract, which will no doubt interest plenty of huge

Milos Kerkez problem

Liverpool could face a problem in trying to sign Milos Kerkez this summer, with The Telegraph suggesting Bournemouth's current valuation of the left-back posing a potential issue.

The Reds are said to be reluctant to overpay as they are looking for a player to share the workload with Andy Robertson, rather than replace the Scot in the starting XI.

It is claimed though that Slot will be backed with one of Liverpool's biggest ever summer transfer budgets. The chances of Alexander Isak joining the Reds though are described as "slim to none", with Hugo Ekitike seen as a possible alternative, while there will be plenty of competition for Dean Huijsen, who is admired.

Three Nunez replacements lined up

Liverpool has three strikers lined up as potential replacements for Darwin Nunez, who could be heading to Atletico Madrid this summer, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Joao Pedro, Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko are all touted as options for the Reds. The latter in particular could see the Reds deal another blow to Arsenal after their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final, with the RB Leipzig star having been linked with a move to North London.

Liverpool rivals 'all in' on Liam Delap

Everton could beat Liverpool to the signing of Liam Delap, with the Toffees "all in" on the Ipswich striker's signing, according to The i Paper.

Delap has been one of the few bright sparks for the already-relegated side this season, and has been linked with a big move this summer, with Liverpool among those touted as a possible destination.

This latest report though suggests the Reds' city rivals will beat them to his signature, with David Moyes said to be a huge fan of his.

Florian Wirtz decision

Florian Wirtz hasn't yet given the okay for a move to Bayern Munich, although the German giant believes it is on a "very good path" to sign the Bayer Leverkusen star, according to Sky Sports Germany.

Wirtz has been linked with Liverpool in the past, although it does look as though the Reds have dropped out of contention for his signature.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are linked with the 21-year-old, and Xabi Alonso's potential move to the Bernabeu dugout could provide a twist in his future.

Harry Kane staying put

Remember those links with Harry Kane earlier this year? Those were wild times...

Anyway, it seems the England captain isn't going anywhere - unsurprisingly. According to talkSPORT, Kane is planning on staying at Bayern Munich for at least one more year, dashing any hopes Premier League sides may have had of signing him.

Liverpool was touted as a possible destination, although the Reds will surely go for a younger option up front, not to mention one that won't be on such high wages.

Slot wants Xavi Simons

Arne Slot is pushing for Liverpool to sign Xavi Simons this summer, according to Football Insider.

It's suggested that the Reds boss thinks Simons would be an ideal fit for his system, and improve his starting XI.

Simons only signed permanently for RB Leipzig in January, having been playing on loan from PSG before that, but the German club is said to be willing to let him leave for the right price.

Real Sociedad chief makes Martin Zubimendi admission

Real Sociedad's president, Jokin Aperribay, has opened up about Martin Zubimendi's future, acknowledging that the midfielder's decision will come in June after he turned down a move to Liverpool last summer.

Arsenal now looks to be leading the race for his signature, although Aperribay hasn't ruled out the possibility of extending Zubimendi's stay at Sociedad:

We'll see what happens. All I ask of him is one last effort to qualify for Europe and whatever happens, will happen in June.

There's no point in speculating now about whether he'll be there. He's had several opportunities to leave and he'll make the decision he wants, because he'll have more options.

Trent Alexander-Arnold latest

There has been plenty of speculation about Trent Alexander-Arnold's future recently, especially after his celebrations on Sunday and lengthy chat with John Henry.

Some of the scenes amid the title celebrations have raised hopes that he may still sign a new contract at Liverpool, with Marca suggesting in the last few days that there is still a chance he could make a U-turn on a move to Real Madrid.

However, the Daily Mail has reported that Alexander-Arnold is still expected to make the move to the Bernabeu. When an announcement on that will be coming though is anyone's guess.

Morgan Rogers wanted

Both GiveMeSport and Sky Sports are linking Liverpool with an interest in Morgan Rogers.

The latter though does suggest he would be difficult to attain, especially if Aston Villa qualifies for next season's Champions League. Unai Emery's side is currently three points off the top five in the Premier League with four games to go.

Rodrygo wants Real Madrid exit

Rodrygo is considering leaving Real Madrid, according to Spanish outlet Radio Marca.

It's claimed that the Brazilian has been thinking that his time at Real Madrid is coming to an end for a few months now.

Only a direct request from the incoming new manager - tipped to be Xabi Alonso - could convince him to stay at this stage. That might well interest Liverpool, with the Reds having been linked with Rodrygo plenty of times in the last couple of years, although they would almost certainly have to spend big on him.
