Marc Guehi breaks social media silence after dramatic Liverpool transfer collapse

Liverpool attempted to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day, but the Reds were unable to complete the signing of the England defender

Marc Guehi has taken to social media to share a series of posts after his failed move to Liverpool. The Reds had agreed a $47 million (£35 million) deal with Crystal Palace for the England international on transfer deadline day.

However, Guehi's medical in London was interrupted by news that his move to Liverpool had collapsed in the final hours of the transfer window. Crystal Palace halted the transfer after failing to secure a replacement for the 25-year-old.

On Thursday, Guehi uploaded three more photos from his time with the England squad on his Instagram story. One snap showed him alongside former Palace teammate Eberechi Eze, who recently signed for Arsenal.

Another image featured Guehi with ex-Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson, Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and AC Milan's Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The final photo depicted Guehi participating in a training drill with a ball and a hula hoop, alongside Manchester City defender John Stones.

Guehi is set to take the pitch for England in their World Cup qualifier against Andorra this Saturday at Villa Park.

Following this, the Three Lions will jet off to Belgrade for a face-off with Serbia, marking their final match before the squad disperses back to their respective clubs.

The future of Guehi remains uncertain after his anticipated move to Liverpool fell through. The defender's contract with Palace expires next summer, and he'll be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs come January.

On the failed transfer, ex-Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson said: "Having been led to believe sooner or later a deal would be done between the clubs, I guess that his head for the last period of time has been he was going to move. He's the loser in the situation.
