Arteta won't allow Arsenal standards to slip
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta speaking to Sky Sports:
"I haven't seen it [complacency].
"We know how important the Premier League is, everything we have done in the nine months.
"We are going to be after that, delaying and increasing the possibility for as long as we can."
Mateta, Sarr on bench, Nketiah starts
Sky Sports Lewis Jones:
"Oliver Glasner has decided to freshen up his front-line and give breaks to Jean-Phillipe Mateta and Ismalia Sarr ahead of the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday. They are both on the bench but Eberechi Eze does start in a front three of former Gooner Eddie Nketiah and Justin Devenny. The back five remains with a first-choice feel to it with Jefferson Lerma replacing the suspended Chris Richards."
Arsenal go strong in line-up
"Arsenal have made four changes from the team who beat Ipswich 4-0.
"Ben White and Mikel Merino are not in the matchday squad, with Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey coming in.
"Bukayo Saka drops to the bench with Raheem Sterling starting instead. The other change sees Myles Lewis-Skelly in place of Oleksandr Zinchenko, who drops to the bench.
"It's a strong Arsenal side. It is the strongest back five and midfield three available, with Saka probably rested after his knock against Ipswich."
Team to play Arsenal: Henderson, Munoz, Lerma, Lacroix, Guehi, Mitchell, Wharton, Kamada, Eze, Devenny, Nketiah
Subs: Turner, Ward, Franca, Sarr, Mateta, Clyne, Hughes, Esse, Kporha
Arsenal team news
Team to play Crystal Palace: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Partey, Odegaard; Sterling, Trossard, Martinelli
Subs: Neto, Tierney, Saka, Zinchenko, Butler-Oyedeji, Gower, Henry-Francis, Kabia, Nwaneri
Odegaard on what this game means for Arsenal
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard in his programme notes:
"We want that momentum now, and to keep doing our job in every game. Then we will see how it goes.
"Every game for the rest of the season is big, so let's get the win today and take a good feeling into the semi-final next week."
"Palace will have the red half of Merseyside cheering them on this evening but you can hardly blame them if their heads are elsewhere, specifically Wembley on Saturday evening. It's an opportunity for silverware, winning the FA Cup is a huge deal for the football club. Oliver Glasner has said all the right things about treating this game with the respect it deserves but we'll find out more in 15 minutes with his team."
"There is a weird feeling tonight's game, with both teams' minds potentially elsewhere.
"For Crystal Palace, they are days away from their FA Cup semi-final with Aston Villa. Arsenal have their Champions League semi-final first leg with PSG in less than a week. We could see a lot of rotation in this one.
"And that rotation - plus the fear of injury hanging over the players - could lead to unexpected results. And that could make this a crucial night.
"Liverpool are watching on knowing a Crystal Palace win hands them a title. Their players are prepped and set to watch this one together at a Merseyside hotel.
"So is this Liverpool's day of destiny? Or will Arsenal kick the can down the road, potentially for one match
Is tonight the night?!
The eye-catching numbers behind Lewis-Skelly's debut season
Sky Sports delve into the incredible numbers behind Arsenal left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly's debut season at the Emirates.
Arteta says Saka fit to face Palace
Bukayo Saka has handed Mikel Arteta an injury boost after the Arsenal manager declared he is fit to face Crystal Palace at the Emirates on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports.
Saka was withdrawn in the second half of Arsenal’s 4-0 win at Ipswich on Sunday following a late tackle on his standing ankle by Leif Davis.
The Ipswich defender was shown a straight red card and Arteta described the challenge as “dangerous”. Saka wore an ice pack on his ankle and was seen limping towards the tunnel at the final whistle.
But speaking on the eve of his side’s clash against Palace, and with Arsenal’s first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris St Germain just a week away, Arteta said: “We have to wait and see how he reacts after the session, but it’s nothing too serious.
"If we want to he would have a good chance to play tomorrow
Glasner: This is Crystal Palace’s 'Champions League' week!
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner said he will treat Wednesday night's trip to Arsenal like any other Premier League game, despite it coming just four days prior to Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Aston Villa at Wembley.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports following his press conference on Tuesday afternoon, he said: "[We will approach it] like every single Premier League game.
"We will analyse them, which is not so difficult at the end of the season. Every team has it's own style and everybody knows everything.
"Arsenal struggled a little bit when they had many injuries and now are very strong and this is their crunch time; in the Champions League they can achieve something special.
"It looks like the league goes to Liverpool, but they are really playing well. They beat Real Madrid twice, and with their results in the recent games, they are in fantastic shape.
"For as us a club, it's our Champions League now. We play the Champions League semi-finalists, then the Champions League quarter-finalists, who beat PSG at home.
"Are we competitive in a single game against these types of opposition? We will get the response in the next four days."
Glasner: I will not be tempted into heavy squad rotation
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner also said in his exclusive sit-down with Sky Sports that he would not be rotating his squad heavily for the trip to the Emirates, with the FA Cup semi-final in mind.
"The approach would be the same if we had two Premier League games," he said.
"It's the second consecutive three-game week and maybe after the first two or three games, the players can deal with it - their body especially.
"But now in game four, game five that is coming, you always have to look at how they feel because we always want to avoid injuries.
"Then it's normal that we have maybe two or three rotations, but there will not be a huge rotation with eight, nine or 10 players."
